Nothing beats the playful Parisian aesthetic of Sonia by Sonia Rykiel. The clothes are sexy, but fun. Quirky, but still cool. The French have that way about them, they can confidently make any look work. On a recent trip to California, while wearing Sonia, I was once again reminded that appearing effortless is the sexiest look of all. I was at a cocktail party in LA, wearing my silky Sonia by Sonia Rykiel leopard top and matching gym shorts. Needless to say, I had on more clothing than any other girl in attendance. I mean, who knew that the Herve Ledger Bandage dress was still having a moment? Anyway, I think it was somewhere around the time of my second cocktail, when a cheesy LA guy (that no-doubt has yet to step foot into his Lamborghini without his blue-tooth earpiece on), asked me if I was "wearing my pajamas". In that moment, everything clicked and once again the idea of "effortlessly chic" consumed me. If someone trying that hard didn't get me, I was definitely on to something! I did consider explaining the concept that "less is more", but as the French would say, "Laissez-faire".
