Easing into Fall

It's transition time here in NYC. One day it's 80 degrees, the next it's 55. As far as outfits are concerned, bipolar weather leads to layering and any opportunity to layer... is a good thing. When I shop I always think, "how often can I wear this?", which usually leads me to investing in a lot of layering pieces. I mean, think about it... every item in this outfit can be worn for multiple seasons. I live in this cocoon Sweater by One Grey Day. Summer in the Hampton's, Fall with a skirt, Winter under fur, at home with slippers.. you get it. And it is kind of the whole idea behind the brand:  it's "knitwear that can be worn all year long, not just on LA’s one grey day a year". Way to rub it in LA. Anyway, I have been loving the idea of taking a maxi (dress or skirt) and tossing the same color sweater on top. I've done it in black and you see it here in grey. It's easy, it's comfy and with accessories and messy hair it's a bit Kate Moss. Shop One Grey Day HERE and the rest of the look below. xxb
