AND I WAS LIKE

keeping your skin hydrated on an 11 hour flight

Two things seriously suck about traveling. The first is packing and the second, dehydration. When dealing with the latter, you are basically screwed the second the door of the airplane closes.  The pressurized air literally sucks the moisture out of your skin, ick.  So here's the deal... I recently flew to Brazil, I did all of the following things and I arrived with hydrated skin. NO JOKE!!! So listen up! 1. Drink a ton of water the day before you fly and use extra moisturizer.

2. Now comes the part where I am supposed to tell you not to drink on the plane. But, I totally enjoyed a glass of Vino so no judgement from me! However, drink at least a liter of water for every 5 hours of flying time.

3. Before you go to sleep, take off your makeup. I love h2o wipes, but use whichever you prefer.

4. Hydrate immediately after you take your makeup off. BUT DO NOT spray any sort of "mists" on your face. I used to LOVE this (because it feels so refreshing and great) but it's actually the worst thing you can do. When air is dry it looks for water wherever it can find it, so if you mist your skin while you are on a plane, the air will rob your skin of the applied moisture. Instead, use a serum. I have been using Peter Thomas Roth's Oiless Oil, which is amazing. I have dry skin, but it's also great to use as a moisturizer if you have oily skin. It's a saving grace while traveling. I also used h2o eye Oasis hydration stick and holy heck do I love this little guy! You have to use it a few times to get it going, but then you will be obsessed. If you don't believe me, read the reviews on the link... it's great.

5. Add your fav moisturizer on top. These products are all you will really NEED to bring on the plane, but I also carry-on a travel sized mist for the second I step off. My absolute favs are the famous Caudalíe Elixir and another less expensive goodie is h2o Oasis Mist.

The day I arrived, I also added Tata Harper's replenishing nutrient complex to my routine for extra vitamins and minerals and that night I slept in Skinceuticals Hydrating B5 Masque, which is also great to sleep in after a wild night out!

Add these products to your normal routine and traveling is like, whatever... no big deal. kiss xb
